Sweat for a Great Cause: City Harvest Charity Ride to Fight Hunger in NYC
Help fight hunger in New York City by joining me on Monday, November 21 at 11AM at Flywheel's UWS studio (470 Columbus Avenue between 82nd and 83rd)!
Nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers are facing hunger. That’s 1 out of every 5 people - 24% of whom are children - in our city. This year, City Harvest will collect 55 million pounds of excess food from restaurants, grocers, bakeries, manufacturers, and farms, and deliver it free of charge to 500 community food programs across the city. Every $1 raised helps City Harvest rescue and deliver 4 pounds of good food. By donating, you’ll help keep City Harvest’s trucks on the road, filled with nutritious food for our neighbors in need.
My goal is to raise $10,000 - enough to feed 1,264 kids for an entire year - and I am asking for a suggested donation of $52 to participate.
**Please specify in the PERSONAL NOTE section if you will be joining us for the ride and the number of bikes you would like to reserve. Also, you will need a Flywheel username, which you can create at www.flywheelsports.com. If you any have questions or would like to request a specific bike, please email me directly at victoriajstein@gmail.com.
Thanks so much for your generosity. All donations are tax-deductible.
